Syllabus

When studying this module, we should be aware of the differences between the concepts or development phases and what characterizes the latest concepts of HR work, i.e. human resource management. The following three features are of decisive importance: a strategic approach to HR work, an orientation toward external factors in the formation and functioning of the organization’s workforce, and the fact that HR work has long ceased to be a matter for professional HR managers and has become part of the daily work of all managers. In this module you will deepen your knowledge of HR, know who is involved in HR management and how, understand the importance of HR work for the organization and be able to define HR strategies and policies in the company.

The aim of this module is to introduce students to the field of management by introducing basic concepts, presenting the development and ideas of management, as well as explaining the basic functions of management in context. The module thus covers theoretical topics such as the essence and approaches to management planning, the function and method of organizing, the essence and function of decision-making as the basis of managerial work, leadership in the context of management as a way of approaching management and managerial control. Individual management approaches will also be discussed with regard to practice.

Finance and Economy

Knowledge of the basic principles and tools of economic and financial management is one of the key prerequisites for successful business management. In the first part of the module, students are introduced to the nature and meaning of financial accounting, basic financial statements, their relationships and reporting ability (balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow statement). The second part of the module describes the functions and tools of management accounting and controlling. Special attention is paid to management reporting, which is one of the basic tools in company management. The final part of the module deals with the types and importance of financial plans, which should be a natural part of any company’s financial management.

Lean Management

Syllabus

LEAN is a system that only works if it is the company’s philosophy and all employees adhere to it. Otherwise the system becomes a non-system. LEAN is not only achieved with the tools and methods of this system. Whatever methods we put in place, we can never do without good people management, project management and management of changes. And we could go on in this way. LEAN is not just about “hard competencies.” The element that always fails us the most is the human factor. So let’s not forget, it’s the most precious thing we possess. The aim of the module is to be able to correctly define the LEAN philosophy, what it includes and how to use this system in practice.
