The second block of study is specialized and consists of four educational modules which the student completes within his/her specialization. The specialized block is divided into 2 course days. Students can choose specific dates from a wide range of courses directly in the student section.

Fundamentals of Accounting
Knowledge of the basic aspects of accounting is one of the prerequisites for the successful performance of most management and expert positions, and it does not have to be only about business practice. Accounting principles generally apply in both the private and public sectors. Accounting is a source of a lot of valuable information about accounting units, as well as a useful control tool, not only for managers. Other fields also intersect in accounting – law, taxes, audit and internal control, controlling and many others.
Financial Reporting
The basic function of accounting is to provide all users with reliable information about assets, sources of financing and business performance. Essential knowledge is not only to be able to account for individual accounting operations that are implemented in practice, but especially to evaluate the situation of the accounting unit according to statements that are abstracted from accounting. The ability to evaluate the current situation is a prerequisite for making the right decisions for the future activity of the accounting unit.
Corporate Finance
This module aims to acquaint students with the basic structure of corporate finance, with general principles of financial management, to clarify the importance of the property and capital structure of a company for financial decision-making. In addition, the module will lead students to understand the relationships between production volume planning, prices and costs and profit, and will familiarize them with the basic procedures of cash flow and liquidity management of the company and the methods used for their analysis and evaluation.
Enterprise Performance Measurement
The module describes and explains individual indicators (financial and non-financial) of the company’s performance and their brief development. Furthermore, students will be introduced to the further use of indicators in business management or its valuation. The creation of value for the owners is a key indicator for evaluating the success of the company and its management. The identification of key factors affecting business performance and value creation is a fundamental step for further analysis as a basis for management decision-making in the area of both strategy and operational management.
