List of Specialized Modules
Introduction to Real Estate
This module is designed for those who are serious about the real estate business and do not (yet) have a legal background, we will show you the necessary basics here. However, this is by no means just theoretical information, everything is consistently focused on real estate practice, i.e. you will actually use the knowledge you have acquired in practice. For this reason, this module also includes a detailed analysis of the lease agreement, i.e. including its variants and comments on it.
Real Estate Cadastre Register and Legal Aspects of Real Estate
This module is of key importance to all those who deal or wish to deal in real estate, be they owners/co-owners, beneficiaries of property rights, investors, developers, estate agents, management agencies, financial and investment advisors, insurance brokers, surveyors, geoportal administrators and users, tax advisors and auditors, etc. Last but not least, for mayors, councillors, public sector officials and employees, simply for all those who are responsible for the management of state, regional or municipal real estate. The highlight of the module is a detailed analysis of the queen of conveyancing documentation – the contract of sale.
Real Estate Valuation
The module introduces students to the theory and general methodology of the three basic groups of valuation methods – comparative, income and cost. Valuation theory is based on principles and definitions that are embodied in the European Valuation Standards and other standardisation documents and are applicable in all markets, including the European Union and the USA. The second part of the course covers the basics of practical application of valuation theory in pricing documentation and reasoning. The module will also include an overview and interpretation of the basic legislation in the field of valuation.
Real Estate Market Analysis
The aim of this module is to introduce students to the methods of property market analysis. The theoretical part of the module covers the basic principles and factors of this market, including an explanation of the necessary terms and definitions. It also includes how to work with information, an introduction to the theory of value and economic geography. The second, practical part deals with how to analyse the land market, the building market and the rental market. In addition to general methods of analysis, this part focuses on the specific real estate market in the Czech Republic. The graduate of the module should be able to independently develop an analysis of the local real estate market, including an analysis of possible future developments. The module will also include a practical analysis of the local real estate market.
