Ing. Štěpánka Uličná, Ph.D.

Ing. Štěpánka Uličná, Ph.D. has been working for more than 15 years as a consultant/lecturer/mentor in the field of LEAN, SIX SIGMA, KAIZEN, process and project management mainly in manufacturing companies such as Madeta, TRW Carr, ITW Pronovia, Bel Sýry Česko. Together with the rise of interest in improving and simplifying processes, she started working for a number of other companies (O2, Olympus, Česká spořitelna, Cofidis). All projects had one thing in common: giving people the opportunity to participate in improving, simplifying and eliminating waste. Support for their creativity, teamwork, intrinsic motivation. And more than anything – to give them the methodology and tools to continue to be independent of external cooperation and maintain everything in their own hands. She is passionate about new approaches to working with people, working with their intrinsic motivation, using agile techniques in management. She supports the implementation of Industry 4.0 in companies, helping to change outdated processes and approaches. She prefers experiential pedagogy in education, participants have the opportunity to test and consolidate new knowledge and skills on their own. That is why she creates business simulations for their trainings, in which the participants test and verify what they can do. Her motto is: “If you want different results, do things differently!” She graduated from the Department of Mathematical Methods at the Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Ostrava. She gained her managerial experience at Škoda Auto, a.s. in Mladá Boleslav. She teaches management at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
