The third block of study is optional block and consists of 2 modules that students choose themselves. Individual educational modules are largely focused on the development and deepening of managerial skills and soft skills. The student completes the chosen 2 modules online.

Knowledge Management

Syllabus

This module explains what knowledge is and how it affects organizations and their results, the role of explicit and tacit dimensions, the importance of trust for knowledge sharing, knowledge management strategies, the concept of a knowledge market and rules for organizing a knowledge sharing organization and who knowledge workers are, how they work and their importance to organizations.

Leadership and Team Management

Syllabus

The module is very practically focused, students will understand the principles of leadership and learn to use them in practice. As part of the module, students will develop the basic skills that are necessary for the realization of the leadership role of a manager, i.e. persuading, influencing or inspiring their subordinates to achieve the organization’s goals. They will also learn negotiation techniques, practice solving conflict situations, motivating their subordinates to achieve the best possible results or leading a team in solving problems or implementing set tasks.

Managerial Skills and Practices

Syllabus

The aim of the subject is the application of key skills in the education process in the form of newly acquired knowledge and skills and their application in user practice. Only a well-prepared manager can effectively use the rich range of acquired experience and practical skills with benefit and synergistic effect in business meetings and workshops.

Personal Development

Syllabus

The main goal of this module is to explain the issue of personal development, different approaches and possibilities for personal development. This topic is especially relevant now, at a time that requires constant development and advancement of one’s own skills and abilities to a higher level.

Shaping the Future: People and Technologies

Syllabus

The aim of the module is to clarify the complex relationships between people and technology in 21st century organizations. Another goal is to strengthen the personal and managerial repertoire for working with new technologies and strengthening human competences in solving the challenges of the new century.

Time Management

Syllabus

Time management (TM) is a body of knowledge about time management. In the module, we will briefly focus on the development of this area, get acquainted with the main terms (mission, vision, values, goals, priorities, habits…), introduce the main TM tools, specific methods and techniques of planning and organizing time, describe the most common time thieves and show , how to remove them. In connection with time management, we include the terms self-management or life management.
