I began my studies as the director of a research institute with a technical background. For years, I had been leading a team, but I had acquired most of my practical management skills through self-study, hands-on experience, and my own mistakes. This is precisely where I see the main value of the MBA program at ESBM. It provides you with know-how from experienced professionals who bring real-world expertise, helping you avoid many mistakes you would otherwise have to learn from firsthand experience. This undoubtedly saves a great deal of hassle and time, as well as money that might otherwise be spent on corrective measures. For someone with a demanding schedule who wants to approach their studies responsibly, the programme is genuinely challenging, and I would not expect anything less. However, with a systematic approach to planning time and tasks, completing it within a year is entirely achievable. What I particularly appreciate is that I was able to focus all my coursework and my final thesis directly on my own institution. As a result, these assignments did not simply end up sitting on a shelf but have become practical outputs that I actively use in my work. I wish the entire ESBM team continued success and energy in their work, and many more successful graduates in the years to come!
