Personality Psychology

Syllabus

In this module, students will learn about the importance of personality psychology and its use in management practice. Understand the foundations on which personality psychology is built – its historical background and basic methodology. They will be able to apply the acquired knowledge not only at work, but also in their everyday personal life.

Thinking and Decision Making in Practice

Syllabus

Strategic thinking and decision-making is about perceiving and doing things consciously and being able to make conscious and purposeful decisions. The whole world is about constant games – interpersonal or political, sometimes we even play games with ourselves. Some outcomes are predictable, others less so. For many years, game theorists have been trying to predict human behaviour in order to choose appropriate market strategies. However, human behaviour is often not only rational but also irrational and very diverse. Even in this irrationality, however, it is often possible to find certain patterns and regularities, which aren no longer the concern of economists and mathematicians, but of social psychologists. Regardless of how others decide, however, it is always important to know and, above all, to consider how I want to decide in a given situation, whether my behaviour will lead me to the desired goal and what the costs, losses and benefits will be.

Work Life Balance

Syllabus

The objective of the module is to look at our life in terms of our needs, the fulfillment and harmony of which is reflected in our satisfaction with our own being. Work life balance is conceived as an integral part of it with a direct impact on the quality of life we attribute to it. Relating to stress is a logical outcome of the fact that the environment we live in is accompanied by a number of stimuli that trigger a stress response in us.
