My name is Michal Filla and for almost thirty years I have been managing administrative services in the international group Wienerberger, such as producer of building materials – bricks, roof tiles, paving, pipes, etc.

My responsibilities include the management of professional teams – from accounting, payroll and tax services, through internal audit, subsidy service, facility management, and insurance, to crisis management or legal service. It is the coordination of the legal service that has become one of my favourite parts of the job, which, among other things, brings intensive contact with lawyers – attorneys and renowned law firms, notaries, etc. Since my previous education was in economic fields, I felt the need to increase the level of my legal knowledge when communicating with lawyers to be a more professional partner to them.

The Master of Laws at ESBM, specializing in corporate law, provided me with a unique opportunity to increase my legal literacy in various areas of law – commercial, labor, financial and others. Studying LLM at ESBM helped me to create a structured overview of essential parts of legal issues, learn to better use law sources, clearly navigate the legislative process, pay attention to the essential aspects of contracts and the contractual process, differentiate professional terminology more professionally, etc.

As a great and original bonus, ESBM was impressed by the compulsory optional modules, which were related to, for example, corporate culture, because they cross-cuttingly affect all areas of organizational management, regardless of the field of study. These modules complement the entire study framework very well.

I was pleasantly surprised by the very professional approach of expert lecturers who specialize in various areas of legal issues. Therefore, I can recommend studying at the European School of Business & Management.
