Tomáš Průžek has been working in the field of process improvement since 1998. His professional orientation is the implementation of lean business, visual management, process improvement, improvement proposal systems, lean logistics and lean administration. He started his career in the automotive industry at SHOWA Aluminum Czech Republic, where he worked in several positions in production and quality. He also worked at the airline company AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE as Quality Manager for Boeing and Airbus customers. Later, from the position of Kaizen Promotion Officer, he was responsible for strategic projects aimed at increasing productivity, improving quality, and reducing costs at strategic suppliers. At Czech Airlines Technics, as a LEAN manager, he was responsible for reducing costs in the maintenance of the aircraft itself and aircraft components and increasing the productivity and quality of the services offered without wasting internal resources. He also held the position of LEAN manager at ALS Czech Republic, where his main task was to increase the volume of analyses and shorten the lead time for environmental, Pharma, tribological and food samples. He currently works as a Senior Lean Specialist at ZENTIVA, where his main task is to increase the volume of production of solid pharmaceutical forms and streamline processes. In addition, he cooperates with universities in the field of LEAN management and tries to cultivate the environment around him in various ways. During his practice, he realized how important it is to connect employees, processes and technologies into a harmonious whole. He believes that at the beginning of all improvement is the ability to change oneself and one’s thinking and behaviour.
