The second block of study is specialized block and consists of three educational modules, which the student completes within his specialization. The modules of the specialization take place within one course day. Students choose an exact date from a wide range directly in the student section.

Coaching as a Tool to Support Change

Syllabus

In this module we will support students to understand coaching principles and to self-reflect. We will encourage them to develop active listening skills. We will work on the principle of DUO – trust, awareness, responsibility. Students will be introduced to the latest resources that they can continuously draw upon from international coaching associations such as ICF and EMCC. We will introduce the evolution of coaching in the global world and its steps towards the digitalization of the entire industry. For use in management practice, we will show when coaching, mentoring and facilitation are appropriate for dialogue. Students will take away an understanding of the basic GROW coaching method. They will learn to use the magic of questions in conversations and use visualization as an important tool for developing people. They will experience a concrete coaching demonstration and get the opportunity to practice being in the position of the coachee, coach or observer.

Coaching Techniques in Managerial Practice

Syllabus

Students will be introduced to practical examples of coaching methods. They will understand when it is appropriate to use a given method in a dialogue, discover its limits and find their favourite method. It can be: the GROW method, Scaling, Vision Guidance, Thinking Maps, Silence – Voice, Inner Critic – Voice of Wisdom, Reframing, Association – Dissociation, 3 Hats – 3 Chairs, Mentor Table, etc.
The methods will be complemented by the introduction of the graphic tool MURAL for effective coaching in companies and societies. We will show some of the specific visualizations.

Coaching in Teamwork

Syllabus

We will use concrete examples to demonstrate tools for teamwork. You will learn what the competencies of team coaching are and how team dynamics work. How to work with it. With the SCARF model, we will focus on the basic principles of building trust in a team. We will learn the positive framing and reframing technique that you can use in any conversation.
