Hello, my name is Tereza, I am a doctor and a graduate of the MBA program Soft skills and leadership.

At the time when I decided to study, I was a mother of two small children. At that time, life put me in a situation where we could not devote ourselves to medicine. That’s why I was looking for ways to keep my brain busy and expand my education in a way that would help me, my colleagues and patients. We did a detailed research of the offered MBA study programs, chose ESBM, and we are still grateful for it.

We enthusiastically took advantage of the studio’s unique offer for the exam. We couldn’t imagine pursuing a field other than medicine, which is why such an opportunity seemed fantastic to me. I tried out the system of lectures, conditions for submission and evaluation of seminar papers, access to the e-learning platform and also the online library of not only specialist literature. We didn’t hesitate for a moment if I would continue my studies.

Every lesson, every seminar and workshop opened up possibilities and horizons that I had no idea about. With complete fascination, I found out under the guidance of the lecturers that it is precisely soft skills and leadership that we lack in the healthcare sector. Larger and smaller companies try to take care of their employees, motivate them, take an interest in them, but it just doesn’t work in the healthcare sector.

We decided to change the situation. On the basis of the highly practical information of lecturers, I created such a background that led me to found a non-profit organization to support the development of soft skills among health professionals – Satisfied Health Professionals. So that everyone can once come to a satisfied doctor who will not only give them the most professional care, but also show them the human side of medicine.

Thanks to our studies, we started a completely different chapter of our lives. I want to use everything we have learned during our studies to support the field in which it is most lacking and affects us all – healthcare!

Today we also cooperate with other organizations, with doctors, graduates, psychologists and together we are looking for ways and ways to include soft skills knowledge and skills in educational programs for future doctors.

Whatever your field, if you work with people and for people, you will never lose soft skills and leadership. No new knowledge is useless or a waste of time.

Maybe you, like me, will be so excited about your studies that you will turn your life upside down.

Good luck,
Tereza
